Tank Placement and Control

Late Drop Tricks

It is hard to explain this only using words, therefore you will see some pictures where I explain what I do and what to think about. Here we go:

Drop down some SCV's just outside the base at 12 on Temple. Begin to build a Bunker where I made it here.

Now you can drop down more stuff and place your Siege Tanks where I placed them. Watch out for Scourges, look how they made my Dropship (it was nothing in it but it could have been, it was just scouting however) to nothing. But you have to scout the over ground so...

Now drop your Tanks spread out just over the ledge. Use the thing called cloning to drop in different places. Mark three Dropships, tell them to unload the cargo at one place; now hold down shift and click on one Dropship to deselect it. This makes you have two Dropships marked. Tell them to unload (do NOT hold down shift now) and then shift-click on the third Dropship and tell him to unload somewhere else. Now all units will be spread out in the three Dropships, perfect. If any ground unit will attack you your Tanks below will hit them as well, and you should be ready to unsiege and put them back to safety in the Dropships too.

Watch out for Mutas, drop everything you have above the ledge. Marines & Medics are very good versus them. Goliaths and Wraiths too.

pic17.bmp (489270 bytes)

Now you can just say "bye bye" to the enemy. The Tanks are too far away to be reached, and Marines, Medics along with Goliaths kills the poor Mutas. Later in the game you will need Science Vessels as well.
